Let’s celebrate the results of the participants in our Mini Spring Detox + Reset 7-Day Group! With this group, I gave our participants a menu plan and a challenge. No processed foods the first four days, heavy on the fruits and veggies. The last three days? Entirely vegan! While there was no meat or dairy, there was tons of flavor! Yesterday, they shared their weekly results. I also asked them what the most CHALLENGING part was. Because, you can’t have change without challenge, right?! (It’s not too late to join our FULL 30-DAY Spring Detox + Reset Group. APPLY NOW!)
This is what they said:
The most challenging part this week was to get The food prepared, if I can out that was the issue. The most rewarding time how great i feel and how yummy the food was. In know it’s not possible but I feel lighter ??. Through doing this process it has strengthened me to continue this process i will continue with the 21 day fit and adding more exercise. Thank you Kim for getting us going i loved the interaction of the group. ????- A.U.
I asked my husband to do this with me because I knew I wouldn’t be able stick to the plan by myself. We really worked on meal planning and tried most of the recipes Kim shared, and were surprised that many were very tasteful and filling. I am proud to say we have both stuck to the plan these last 6 days, although my husband isn’t as excited about it as I am 🙂 We worked together to prepare many of the meal, and that was fun too. The hardest part has been convincing my husband to stay on track when he sees others posting eating pizza and drinking alcohol. He’s like, “Well, if they are cheating, why can’t I?” I hope that’s not the mentality of most! I haven’t had a sip of coffee, alcohol or meat this whole week!! Down 5+ lbs and I feel great! – T.S.
What I have learned is I am NOT perfect and that is OK….In the past I would think..”oh, I screwed up, so I might has well give up.” This week I kept plugging away even as my raging hormones tried to stop me!! I wasn’t perfect at meal planning, but was better than the week before. I didn’t “feel” like exercising everyday, but I made myself do “something” even if it was walking up and down stairs. I am a “work” in progress and I am thankful for the support from all of you!!! – L.R.
This past week has been a blessing for me. I feel like I have started over at least 15 times this year alone. For whatever reason, I couldn’t stick with it. I lacked the motivation, even though I was sick and tired of not fitting into my clothes, feeling guilty for not working out, and knowing that I would be embarrassed of how much weight I’ve gained. I wasn’t sure that joining this 1 week group would do the trick, but something just clicked. It may have been the first recipe I tried that actually tasted good (pinto beans and rice). It made me want to start finding more vegan recipes, and I have never in my life not eaten meat or animal products. I made healthy choices both Friday night and Saturday and those two times of the week have always been the most difficult for me. I feel like I’ve finally turned the corner, and it’s what I’ve been waiting on to happen for months. To top it off, I lost 5 lbs. I wasn’t expecting that much, but it lets me see just how badly I was eating before. And to keep the good progress going, I’ve signed up for the 30 day challenge. I’m worried that I’ll fall back into the rut, but I’m going to treat it as 4 of these 1 week groups, taking 1 week at a time. – H.M.
I’m glad I accepted this challenge, it has made me think more about the foods I put inside my body. It has given me yummy food options that have been pretty easy for the most part. My biggest hurdle is food prep, but I’ve found simple foods that don’t need much prepping. The most rewarding is I feel good and I’m down about 5lbs, my mindset has shifted on what I eat makes a huge difference and eating clean, whole food and keeping myself more active, goes a long way to improve my overall health and my self confidence! my willpower to say no to sweets was easier since my sugar cravings seemed to have lessened. I plan to continue doing this and wanting this to be how I live my life, and for the first time doesn’t feel as overwhelming. Thank you for the videos, advice, and meal options along the way. It’s been a positive life adjustment for me that I plan to continue-Thanks! – J.N.
This week has been amazing for me. It has given me a roadmap to how I want to acheive my goals moving forward. It has taught me that I can do something that I never thought I could do is give up meat because I am a true carnivore. The most challenging part of the week was more so my environment and not mindset. With all of the food related events such as our monthly birthday event with cake, the ice cream fundraiser, and not to mention chips and dip day. I don’t think there has been a week I have worked there that there was so many food related events. Lol. But because of the plant based foods I was eating I was already satisfied and I was prepared with my snack (fruit) when they were eating all of that other stuff…I had my own healthy treat. The most rewarding part of the experience is the information that I learned from the educational posts in the group, energy I gained from the types of foods I was eating, and the weight I lost which was 4lbs for the week (this is more than double what I have been averaging from what I was currently doing for weight loss. Even my co-workers and family have noticed the difference in my weight loss, energy and appearance. This week has motivated me to adopt a more plant based diet and eat less processed foods and limit my weekly meat intake. I have decided to move forward to the 30 day Spring Detox and I can’t hardly wait to see my results and the results of the other participants, we also have the opportunity to take products from Stocky Bodies during this detox, which will help us have much more results.
I plan on continuing with the 30 day you are doing. I was nervous but I enjoyed not. I changed a few things like type of fish or added a protein to my salad. But I tried new foods and not only did I like them my family did. I really think this will help me get rid of some bad habit with food. I bought my favorite little Debbie peanut bars but haven’t eaten one. I look at the box and have a slight craving but no real need. There are goals in my mind and I am more positive that I can reach them.
I don’t know if I lost any weight and forget to measure but I can say that my love handles don’t feel so fluffy.
Thank you for all your hard work to help us. It is appreciated. – A.G.
The most surprising (and best) part of this journey has been how great I’ve felt, and how satisfied I’ve been with the food choices. Before, it was a struggle to stay within my calorie goal (a reasonable 2k). I’d “white knuckle” through the week, and the weekend would be a disaster. While I wouldn’t call this weekend easy, I did it and am ready to tackle next week. Long term, I think I’d like to stay mostly vegan (especially during the week) but allow for occasional salmon or dairy. I’m looking forward to continuing these habits well into the future and feel like I’m finding something that works. Next week is already prepped and ready to go with a 100% vegan plan. ?- C.M.
This was an eye opening challenge for me. I love coffee. I can’t believe that I let it go after day 1 with only the one headache day. I really enjoyed the green tea and thought I would be dying to go back but Im not! Also the videos were really informative and made me realize how important it is to get much of my nutrition from fruits and vegetables. I also really didn’t miss the meat like I thought I would. I’ve also shared a lot of this info with a few friends that are learning more about their food intake. Sharing is caring. I will continue with the tea and reducing the amount of animal protein I consume. Oh and biggest of all? No sugar cravings!! Thank you so much Kim for sharing your knowledge, time, & insight with us. It meant so much. Lastly I’m down 3-lbs ? – N.Y.B.
The most challenging part was the challenge! A little scary but was surprised by how simple clean eating could be. Was also shocked that I stepped on the scale after five days and was three lbs lighter since it did not seem like I was trying to hard in the eating department. Mindfulness has improved. Loved the detoxifying feeling i.e. The dry brush and I also do yoga which is a feel good practice with detoxifying benefits explained at www.detoxicindonesia.com I think I just feel an overall ‘lightness’. Will continue with the clean one ingredient foods yummyness. I know this because I went to a kids bday party and had pizza and cake and felt like crap afterwards. Ugg so not worth it. Thanks for the week everyone keep on keeping on ?- J.S.
The challenging part for me was actually having all the stuff i needed to do it. My husband helped a lot, got me what i needed and kept me on track. That was probably the rewarding part also, i felt so much better. I loved the food. I am down a total of 4 lbs. physically i feel so much better. Thanks Kim for this group. – J.M.
