I often get questions about how much it costs to have a Team Beachbody coach. They also wonder how much it costs to become a coach themselves. I hope this post clears up some frequently asked questions. Let me know what other questions you have!

What does a Team Beachbody Coach do?

There are tens of thousands of Team Beachbody Coaches out there, each with a different way of running his or her business. That’s the cool part of this opportunity, it’s not one-size-fits all. That’s why it’s important to find a coach that is the right fit for YOU. So, because I can’t tell you what every single coach out there does, I’ll share a little bit about what I do. As a Coach, I will listen to your health and fitness goals, and help match you with a Beachbody program that is a great fit. One that you’ll enjoy, but will also help you meet your goals. I’ll add you to one of my private online accountability groups (most are on Facebook) so that we can work together daily to provide support, information and inspiration.

Is HAVING a Beachbody Coach Free?

There is no fee to have a Beachbody coach. It’s free if you purchased through Teambeachbody.com. When you placed your order, you were automatically assigned a coach. However, you can designate a coach of your choice if you are not working with one already. I encourage everyone to get a feel for a coach they can relate to when selecting one. Get a feel for what challenge groups the coach runs, and how active they are in coaching. Reach out to me if you’d like to assign me as your coach and aren’t already working with someone. If it is free to have a Team Beachbody Coach, why is my Coach requiring a purchase?

Each Team Beachbody Coach can run their business how they see fit. Some groups will require that you have the supplies for the program. For example, it’s hard to participate a 3-Day Refresh Group without having the 3-Day Refresh Kit. Some coaches ONLY work with those who have purchased a challenge pack (Program + Shakeology). That’s OK too! I do have other ways of supporting my customers, but not every coach does. If you’d like to join a group that does not require a purchase, reach out to me through my Kim Danger Holistic Nutrition Facebook Page and let me know what program you’re doing, and what kind of support you’ll need. I’ll try to find something that’s a good fit.

Should I become a Team Beachbody Coach?

There are SO many reasons to enroll as a Team Beachbody Coach. The most common one is the discount. If you already know and love the programs and products, you may actually SAVE money by enrolling as a Coach. Beyond that, Coaches do earn money by sharing their fitness journey with others and supporting them along the way as well. How much does it cost to sign up as a Beachbody Coach?

There are 2 options for the Coach sign-up:

Enroll with the $39.95 business start up fee and then getting your Shakeology at your 25% discount.
Enroll with a challenge pack and have the $39.95 fee waived. It’s definitely the best deal, since you probably will want to get another program anyway. There are always Challenge Pack sales for just $140 – which is just a little bit more than Shakeology by itself.

ONGOING COSTS FOR BEACHBODY COACHES

If you are a regular Beachbody customer, it makes sense to sign up as a coach yourself – even if you don’t “work” the business. There is a $15.95 monthly fee when you ARE a coach. It’s important to note that if you are drinking Shakeology regularly, the coaching fee is less than your monthly savings. That’s why many people sign up as a coach simply for the Shakeology discount. They are known as discount coaches. You also get a 25% discount on DVDs and other products. More on different types of coaches. The monthly cost goes to maintain your coach online office and supporting websites. Beachbody will give you THREE sites as a coach to which you can direct friends, family and future clients:

Whenever a new customer uses your link to purchase a product, you are assigned as their coach and receive a commission. So, you can get friends to sign up using your link to join our challenge groups to help you cover the cost of your own programs and shakes.

Are There Quotas to Meet as a Team Beachbody Coach?

As a new coach, you DO NOT HAVE TO REACH SALES QUOTAS. Yay! This means you will always get the 25% discount and earn commissions on sales, regardless of whether or not you are an “Active Status” coach.

To go in a little bit deeper: There is a monthly 50 “Personal Volume” (PV) requirement in order for a you to be considered “Active” or advance in rank. Reaching 50PV is easy. If you purchase Shakeology monthly, that’s 90PV right there. Even if you don’t, it’s not that hard to reach 50PV. Your PV can come from your own orders OR from your sales. So, if you have one person signed up as Shakeology customer on Home Direct, that’s all you need.

If you’re not concerned with advancing in rank and actively coaching, this is all irrelevant anyway. If you want to start MAKING money as a coach and advancing in rank, that’s when it becomes important. Only Emerald rank and above coaches are eligible for customer leads and team cycle bonuses.
