About Kim Danger, Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Team Beachbody Coach
Hi, I’m Kim Danger. I live in Southern Minnesota with my husband Scott, two busy teenage kids, my two crazy dogs and two cats. I am an author, blogger, foodie, and personal development junkie. Besides fitness, I also love cooking, fashion, travel, music and photography.
My Story
My fitness journey really didn’t begin until I turned 40 (call me a late-bloomer). In the past few years, I have gone from barely being able to run a mile to finishing my first half-marathon at age 44. I now also eat clean, unprocessed foods 80% of the time (I’m human, too) and am training for my first full marathon in June 2016. None of this happened overnight. It has come over the past few years by incorporating easy, manageable changes into my lifestyle. I’m also now a certified PiYo/P90X/Country Heat instructor. In 2017, I became certified in Holistic Nutrition, as well as became a certified Life Coach and Reiki Master.
But for me, my biggest transformation story has come through personal development. I encourage my challengers to read, listen to podcasts or audiobooks at least 10-15 minutes a day. Fitness truly is a mental game. I’m a big believer in that, and that’s how I help my challengers. Check out some of my favorite Personal Development Books
My Challenges and Vibe
What I love most about our team’s challenge groups are the personal connections we form. Throw a group of strangers together in an environment where it’s OK to not be perfect, to admit to your mistakes and be REAL – but feel love and positivity – and you have a truly amazing thing! SO many of my prior challengers have gone on to be coaches on my team and real-life friends. We focus on wellness through transforming our mindset, and truly changing and evolving from within.
Fitness as a Lifestyle
I have a busy family and love to live life, so I realize the importance of balancing wellness with fun. For me, healthy living and fitness is a way of life, not a diet. I would never be able to stick to a plan where beer and wine weren’t allowed, and I don’t expect you to either!
Together, we’ll figure out this thing called fitness in a way that works for you. Moderation is key, and getting right back at it when you have an off day. Trust me, I have them all the time! Follow us salbreux-pesage for more workout guide. The key is getting to a good place in your mindset where your good days outnumber your bad days, and you don’t let your negative self-talk interfere with progress.
I’m not perfect… I get HANGRY when I don’t eat enough, leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight, drop the F-bomb all too frequently and let my kids watch R-rated movies. However, I strive to be a better version of myself every day. I’m invested in learning and growing.
This thing called life is about progress, not perfection. I want the same for my challengers. It just makes life more fun. Never stop learning, exploring, and GROWING. I truly love living life and would chose experiences over things any day (well, unless those things are boots… 😉. Don’t let your pursuit perfection get in the way of being kick-ass awesome.
