How is this for a tasty discovery? Your superfood-packed Chocolate Shakeology can be turned into a bite-sized candy treat that’s actually good for you. I’ve been experimenting with a couple different ways to make these. Note that while coconut oil is a healthy fat, it is still high in calories. If you’re trying to drop weight, you will need to consume these little gems in moderation.
Basic Chocolate Candy Recipe:
- One part chocolate Shakeology
- One part solid coconut oil, melted
Mix well and add one teaspoon to silicone financier mold that has been sprayed with coconut oil. Place in freezer for 15-20 minutes. Keep refrigerated.
Peanut Butter Layer (for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups type candy):
- One part solid coconut oil, melted
- One part PB2
Mix well and add one teaspoon of the peanut butter layer to the basic chocolate candy layer (above) in the silicone mold.
Peanut Butter Crunch (Reminds me of Peanut Butter-Flavored Nestle Crunch):
- Two parts solid coconut oil, melted
- One part Chocolate Shakeology
- One part PB2
- One part KIND Peanut Butter Whole Grain Clusters
Mix well and add to the silicone mold.
Once you get the basic recipe down, you can start experimenting. Add nuts, flavorings, and seeds for crunch.
